Biodiesel is a form of diesel fuel manufactured from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled restaurant greases. It is safe, biodegradable, and produces less air pollutants than petroleum-based diesel. Biodiesel can be used in its pure form (B100) or blended with petroleum diesel. This is a perfect replacement for #2 Diesel fuel to fuel vehicles, heat homes, and power industry. Carbon Dioxide emissions are greatly reduced by using Biodiesel over Petroleum Diesel. Livestock in agriculture is growing exponentially. The animals that are being raised for our food supply need to be fed. A portion of the diet is fat. Once the oil is collected and cleaned it goes to an animal feed processor for further finishing to stabilize and raise its quality to food grade. Once the oil has been processed to the highest feed quality standards, it is introduced to the livestock. This is a better alternative than clearing forest for tillable land to grow animal food. Less land needs to used and in turn the trees and plants that purify the air we breathe stays intact.
